iPhone Won't Charge

iPhone Turns Off After Charge

If you have an iPhone and when you take it off charge it decides to turn itself off, even with what appears to be a good battery charge, then there is a good chance that the battery is faulty or at the end of its life and needs replacing.

To check this out on your phone go to settings, battery, battery health and see what it says there.

It’ll show the remaining capacity as a percentage and may also show “this iPhone has experienced an unexpected shutdown…” If you see this message then yes you will need the battery replacing.

Apple provides an iPhone battery replacement service which is around £25 from Apple (down from £79 because of the iPhone battery issues they’ve experienced). Postage will be a further £8’ish.

If you choose to do a DIY iPhone battery replacement yourself, then this will take around 30 mins depending on your expertise.

The replacement battery would be in the region of £10, but check-out the seller first as battery quality varies greatly. See if they have many reviews and how good these are.

The service provided by Apple is a good option, fair price, genuine parts and if you have further issues then you can go back to Apple.
