| Notes | Procedure for welding your bucket strip. - Please apply a 30 degree chamfer to the edge of the bucket strip and bucket wide enough to facilitate a good weld. - Remove all residue from surfaces to be welded. - Correctly assemble and clamp the bucket strip to the bucket. - Types of electrodes to be used: - Pre-heat to 300 degrees Celsius use electrode AWS-E7018 - Pre-heat to 100 degrees Celsius use electrode AWS-E110-18G - No pre-heat use electrode AWS-E307 or AWS-E312 - Tack weld the bucket strip to the bucket in several positions before applying fillet weld. - Please allow weld to cool naturally if possible - rapid cooling by the application of water for example, could cause thermal shock within the material leading to the weld and or bucket strip to crack. - Please observe all health and safety rules and laws when carrying out this procedure. |
