PCBs in many auto, commercial vehicles or plant machinery applications are either subject to harsh environmental conditions, mounted in vulnerable places exposing the board to vibration, experience extreme heat, cold or are exposed to arguably the worst circuitry killer of all; liquids.

Parts we've repaired originally cost hundreds or thousands of pounds ; repairing will usually cost a fraction of a refurbished or new replacement board, so it's well worth attempting a repair. Better still, the repaired board will have greater longevity than a used part since it will have been fully inspected for cold solder joints, corrosion and other issues that crop after years of use.
