Washing Machine Trouble Shooting
Basic trouble shooting guide for washing machines.
Washing machine wont turn on.
Ensure the washing machine is plugged in and turned on at the wall.
Check the power cable isn't damaged or for a blown fuse in the plug
Check the front door on the washing machine is fully closed.
Programme cannot be started or selected.
Washing machine has switched to self protection mode due to a supply problem (line voltage, water pressure, etc.). Try pressing and holding down the start button button for 3 seconds to reset the machine to factory settings. Consult user guide for information of potential causes.
There is water in the machine after the cycle has stopped
Some water might have remained in the product due to the quality control processes in the production. This is not a failure; water is not harmful to the machine.
Water is leaking from the bottom of the washing machine.
Likely problems with fitting of the hoses or the pump filter. Be sure the seals of the water inlet hoses are securely fitted. Make sure the hose attached to the tap is fitted tightly. Pump filter might not be closed fully. Make sure that the pump filter is completely closed.
Machine does not fill with water.
Check the water supply to the machine is opened fully. Make sure the water inlet hose is not bent and is flattened. Any restriction in the hose can cause low water flow to the machine.
Water inlet filter could be clogged. Clean the water inlet filter.
The loading door is ajar. Close the Loading Door.
Machine does not drain water.
Water drain hose (output hose) might be clogged or twisted. Clean or flatten the hose.
Pump filter is clogged. Clean the pump filter.
Check the machine has not been turned off.
Machine vibrates or makes noise.
A common cause of excessive machine vibration is the machine standing unbalanced. Adjust the feet to level the machine.
A hard substance might have entered into the pump filter. Clean the pump filter.
Transportation safety bolts are not removed. Remove the transportation safety bolts.
Laundry quantity in the machine might be too little or too much. Try removing/adding more laundry.
Machine might be leaning on a rigid item. Make sure that the machine is not leaning on anything.
Machine stopped shortly after the programme started.
Ensure the washing machine is turned on at the wall.
Washing machine might have stopped temporarily due to low voltage. It will resume running when the voltage restores to the normal level.
Machine directly discharges the water it takes in.
Draining hose might not be at adequate height. Increase the height of the drainage hose. Connect the water draining hose as described in the operation manual.
No water can be seen in the machine during washing.
The water level is not visible from outside of the washing machine. This is not a failure. During different parts of the wash cycle the drum will be empty.
