Takeuchi Service Intervals Guide
Regular servicing keeps your Takeuchi machine running efficiently and helps prevent costly breakdowns. This guide covers the recommended service intervals for Takeuchi compact excavators, track loaders and skid steer loaders.
Daily Checks (Every Start)
Before starting your Takeuchi machine each day:
- Check engine oil level
- Check coolant level
- Check hydraulic oil level
- Inspect for visible oil leaks
- Check track tension (tracked machines)
- Test all controls and safety devices
- Clean air filter pre-cleaner (dusty conditions)
50-Hour Service (Weekly)
- Grease all lubrication points
- Check and tension tracks
- Inspect bucket teeth and cutting edges
- Check tyre pressures (wheeled machines)
250-Hour Service
- Change engine oil and filter
- Grease swing bearing
- Check battery electrolyte level
- Inspect fan belt condition and tension
- Check coolant concentration
500-Hour Service
- Change fuel filter
- Change hydraulic oil filter
- Replace air filter element (or sooner in dusty conditions)
- Change pilot filter
- Check and adjust valve clearances
- Inspect hydraulic hoses for wear
1,000-Hour Service
- Change hydraulic oil (full system)
- Change final drive oil (both sides)
- Change swing drive oil
- Inspect undercarriage components (idlers, rollers, sprockets)
- Check electrical connections
2,000-Hour Service
- Change engine coolant
- Replace suction strainer
- Inspect turbocharger (if fitted)
- Full undercarriage measurement
- Replace fuel tank breather
5,000-Hour Service
- Major engine service / overhaul review
- Replace all hydraulic hoses (preventive)
- Full electrical system check
- Structural inspection
