How to Find Your Takeuchi Model Number

Ordering the correct spare parts for your Takeuchi machine starts with knowing your exact model number and serial number. Here's how to find them.

Model Number Location

Your Takeuchi model number is displayed in several locations:

Compact Excavators (TB Series)

  • Main decal on the side of the boom or on the counterweight
  • Data plate inside the cab, typically on the right-hand side panel or under the seat
  • Serial number plate on the main frame, usually on the right-hand side near the blade

Compact Track Loaders (TL Series)

  • Main decal on the side of the loader arms or rear of the machine
  • Data plate inside the cab on the right-hand side wall
  • Serial number plate on the main frame

Skid Steer Loaders (TS Series)

  • Main decal on the rear or side of the machine
  • Data plate inside the cab
  • Serial number plate on the main frame

Understanding Takeuchi Model Numbers

Takeuchi uses a straightforward naming system:

  • TB — Machine Type: Compact Excavator • Example: TB175, TB145, TB235
  • TL — Machine Type: Compact Track Loader • Example: TL130, TL150, TL240
  • TS — Machine Type: Skid Steer Loader • Example: TS50R, TS70V, TS80V2

Model Number Suffixes

  • R — Reduced tail swing (e.g., TB23R, TB210R)
  • FR — Fixed boom / short radius (e.g., TB138FR, TB080FR)
  • W — Wheeled variant (e.g., TB175W, TB070W)
  • V — Vertical lift (e.g., TS70V, TS80V2)
  • S — Special / older generation (e.g., TB650S, TB35S)

Serial Number

The serial number is essential for ordering parts, as Takeuchi machines can have mid-production changes. Your serial number is on the data plate inside the cab and stamped into the main frame.
